VLC, probably the best all-around video software I’ve come across has finally, after 10 years, hit the version 1.0.

Microsoft has admitted that there is, yet again, another flaw in ActiveX.  They recommend that this be disabled.

If you listened to the radio, say WMAQ or other stations during the 70s and 80s, you remember Earl Finckle and his weather forecasts.

Earl passed away from heart and kidney failure on July 3rd.

And this makes, what, 6 famous people that have left us?

Reports from the family of Karl Malden announced that he had passed away at the age of 97 on Wednesday.

Karl was raised in Gary.  His parents, a Czech mother and Serbian father, didn’t speak English until he went to kindergarten.  He worked at the mills after school.  He went to Ark. State Teachers College he went to the Goodman Theater School and never looked back.

No arrangements have been released.
