The Bailey case moves forward

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

I am just hoping that the police, as bad as they want to get the guys who killed OFc. Bailey, exercise restraint and common sense in the pursuit of the bad guys.

The latest is that they have three teens in custody right now for questioning. If that’s the case, then there are serious problems in the community.

So the govt. did it again and knee-jerked itself good.

Third time is NOT the charm

Monday, July 19th, 2010

For the third time, Chicago has had a police officer gunned down.  This time, Ofc. Michael Bailey, returning home after his shift guarding Mayor Daley’s home, was shot and killed by three men trying to steal his new car.  Bailey was about a month away from retirement and had bought the car as a retirement gift to himself.  Bailey was also still in uniform!

This has got to stop and the neighborhood has to decide that they’re going to step up and name names.  The “code of silence” only encourages the animals out there to do things like this.

Now, Bailey’s fmaily will be without him and he did not deserve to die like that.

Dixmoor is having major fiscal issues

Monday, July 19th, 2010

According to an article in the Chicago Tribune,  the village of Dixmoor hasn’t paid their employees, a fire truck and ambulance were nearly repossessed and the gas station where Dixmoor fueled their vehicles was paid late for the third time and the village can’t go there anymore for fuel!

Here’s the link to the article.  Pretty sorry state of affairs.
